The Ghanaians call it Prekese while in Nigeria they refer to it as Uhio in Igbo language and Uyayak in Efik. Prekese is known for its unique flavour and aroma. It is commonly used as a spice in soups and stews, adding a slightly sweet and fragrant touch. It also has some traditional medicinal uses.
